The National Association of Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority Councillors (NABAEMC) is a Cross-Party-Association for Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Local Councillors thoughout the United Kingdom.
The organisation can only be fully effective if it represents Councillors from every authority, and at every level, parish council, district council, county council, city council and unitary bodies.

The Association aims to support BME Cllrs by:
- Information sharing at regular meetings
- Training Sessions with I&DeA or other training providers
- Seminars with high profile speakers
- Regularly updated information on the website
- National Conferences
- Networking opportunities
- Campaigning and advocating on behalf of members etc.
Do you know a BME councillor on your authority who is not a member? Maybe they are newly elected and may not have heard of our organisation. Let them know about us, encourage them to join and take an active part in the activities.
Fees
- Individual membership is £25 per year.
- Affiliate membership for local authorities is on a sliding scale, dependent on the number of BME cllrs
- Associate membership is for unions, voluntary sector organisations and charities.
